Following the death of my church's rector, I served for roughly a year as the primary executive and decision-maker for the parish, supported by a small board of volunteers. In that role, I:
  • Sought and won major grants for capital and operating expenses, negotiated and secured other ongoing funding sources
  • Worked with the Diocese of Maryland on recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of a new permanent rector
  • Liaised with the Baltimore City government, local community association, and other community partners
  • Maintained the church's calendar, and with volunteer assistance handled email, phone, and social media communications
  • Oversaw major construction, including of a grant-funded accessibility ramp
  • Assisted with financial management

  • Executed a range of greening projects as Greens Spaces committee chair, resulting in a large increase in the neighborhood tree canopy and resident stewardship 
  • Liaised between GRIA and the church that serves as a community center 
  • Represented the community in the process leading to the "25th Street Station" project 
  • Negotiated with 7‐11 corporation, winning an enforceable commitment to place an armed security guard in the Remington location between 11 PM and 5 AM

  • Planned and executed all recurring and special social events for the graduate student community at JHU’s Homewood campus to improve quality of life, retention, and interdepartmental interaction
